Hell as a mountain of naked bodies goveling at the foot of Jesus?? That’s not hell, that’s reality. It’s Rio de Janiero at the foot of the Jesus statue high on the mountain above the city.
It’s Mexico City, Bangladesh, India, China, Lebanon, Miami, Detroit, LA.
Human beings are multiplying like rabbits. This movie just calls it the way it is. Humans really are “monkeys” — worse than monkeys. Who in their right mind, living in abject poverty, would have more babies???
What society would pander this activity, enable it, even encourage it?? America is who. The Catholic Church is who.
Every Fortune 500 company is who, anxious for cheap workers to increase their profit margin. They buy off Congress to make this happen. They buy off the Church so they don’t feel guilty about it.
They finance movies like this one that make this reality seem like a nightmarish fantasy, when in fact it’s happening all around us, every day, at an escalating pace.
Upset that God’s angles in this film are crude, crass, insensitive, arrogant individuals? Wonder why God doesn’t care for humanity any more?
Take a good, hard look at the world — see how screwed up everything is, the oceans, the climate, the animal kingdom — we humans cover the world with our plastic bottles, our offal, our ugliness — and continue to think ourselves as made in the image of God????
Maybe at one time aeons ago, God instructed his angels to serve man.
Any more, God’s instructions to his angels are for them to avenge the destruction man has done on the billions of other creatures large and small that are also God’s children.
