In this severely fractured America that Obama has created, where women are the victim, minorities are the victim, the wealthy are the demon and the subtext constantly deems that the middle class are the biggest evil of all – in this ugly, bitter new America – there is one thing that almost everybody agrees on.
Excepting, of course, the “low information” voters who live in a cultural vacuum; who pay no taxes and who have no intention of ever doing so – they could care less. Borrowing $.47 of every dollar spent by the government means nothing to them. The U.S. could “go Greece,” and their lives would not change.
For the other 65% of Americans, we care.
Our Christmas cheer was destroyed by this whole gut-wrenching drama over the fiscal cliff. New Years was no celebration, just opening the door to another year of shock and awe.
We turn off the evening news after our daily dose of “fifteen minutes of hate” and fret more than ever about how our world is becoming more and more like George Orwell’s worse nightmare.
Now Washington has transformed Valentine’s Day, February 15th, into the next catastrophic deadline when our country goes bankrupt and the financial world comes to an end, again.

What we really need is a constitutional amendment to force Washington to operate like all of the states, to balance their budget. Short of that you can send an angry letter to your representatives in Washington using this nifty web form created by the American Family Association website.
