There’s nothing quite like seeing a cute little Japanese girl in a blue Navy sailor outfit slashing up vampires like diced fruit salad.
Maybe it’s because U.S. Navy sailors are wimps, and getting wimpier.

Not long ago the U.S. Navy announced they would start conducting gay marriages, which they later rescended amid a huge outcry. If folks are so upset about it now, what happens then the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) is fully implemented?
West Point had their first gay marriage just last month.
Of all service members, the Chaplain’s Corps was most against repealing DADT. There’s something so wrong about them being the first to jump out of the gates before the rabbit starts to zip down the racetrack.
Even the far left wing liberal homo-sapiens can muster a smidgeon of admiration for somebody who sticks by their principles…
The whole idea of a mere child spreading gore like a relentless plague is sad, funny, and enthralling at the same time. But only because she’s so good with her sword, her acrobatic moves are so effortless, and she takes no pleasure in any of it.
Maybe she’s one of those tiny little under age Chinese gymnasts who were trained from the cradle to be a world class athlete. All that angst at a childhood missed.
Or perhaps she’s just an expression of all kids these days, forced to fight our wars on distant fields, while back at home we rob them of their heritage — leaving them a bankrupt nation, a moribund morality, and a decade of low-wage jobs that will hobble their future forever.
The angry little blue ninja saves her defenseless girlfriend repeatedly from vampires, demons, and sundry other forms of death. They form a bond of sorts.
Just like Japan in the last two decades through 15 years of no growth and a stagnant economy, an abysmal period like the U.S. is just now entering. We need a sharp friend to save us from our transgressions.
Yes, it’s a horror story all right. Two genuine and intelligent youngsters fending off the evil, malicious, cruel assaults of agressive, greedy, corrupt, evil adults.
True to form, the source of all their angst is — you guessed it, Mommy dearest…
