The liberal blogosphere is abuzz with rants against guns. Nobody anywhere thinks about the kids.
Look at what they have to resist – drugs, alcohol, sex, tobacco, pornography, violence in the media, sex and violence in the media, teenage fashion that dresses up girls to maximized lust, and on and on.
Meanwhile, parents are clueless. They’re just as narcissistic and self-centered as their kids. It’s an imposition on their precious free time to help their kids cope.
Every single parent who doesn’t spend enough time with his kid(s) should watch this. Actually, every parent should watch this — with their kids (age 13 and above), at home, at their leisure. They should talk about it afterwards, too.
Show some empathy for your kids, will you? Look at all the issues they have to look forward to when they grow up.
Social Security and Medicaid are bankrupt and the nation has such a huge debt that the entire national budget when they are older will be spent on debt repayment and entitlements to the poor. These aren’t just problems with the U.S., but every nation on the planet.
America imports hundreds of thousands of foreigners every year for all the best high tech jobs. We’ve given up trying to motivate corporations to support our schools so they can train kids better in math and science.
Indeed, there’s been such an explosion of for-profit colleges that “education” is an oxymoron any more. The latest blip on the Political Correctness radar is that a college education is useless anyway.
We’ve screwed up the environment so bad with Global Warming, pollution of our oceans and rivers, and destruction of the rain forests that their “ecotourism” will be a trip to an Imax theater to see old National Geographic news reels.
Adults are so narcissistic any more, they spend more time reading about their fav celebrities in the tabloids and on twitter than they do reading to their small children or helping their older kids with homework.
Parents know more about dozens of celebrities than they do about their very own children.
If that’s you, fine. Don’t have kids. If you have a problem with priorities, get some help from your minister or a therapist.
Your children are the single biggest responsibility you will ever have. Your mortgage or your 401K is minuscule by comparison. Give your kids the best possible environment while they are growing up because once they leave the nest, everything is downhill from there.
You caused all these horrific problems, the least you can do is give your kids the inner strength to solve them. Pox on you if you raise them badly, to become a part of the world’s problems and not a solution to them.
