Queen of the Damned

There is an ancient evil among us, alive, festering, destructive, and angry. It’s called instinct. It’s passed on from generation to generation, from one millennium to the next, encoded in our DNA.

It’s the hard lessons learned from the past, survival 101.

Instinct tells us to slow down when there are no resources to support ourselves. It tells a woman living in a slum to have no children. It tells a community in decline with no jobs and dwindling prosperity to change their ways, or face the consequences like Sodom and Gomorrah.

Clearly, the modern world is devoid of all instinct. We use limited energy resources like they will last for a million years. Even nuclear fuel sources will last no more than 50 years. We pollute the air, water, oceans, and land like mother nature is the Whore of Babylon.

We combine all our resources (science, psychology, sociology…) to eviscerate instinct from our psyche. Alas, instinct is the nagging conscience that keeps us from infinite materialism, conspicuous consumption, and wanton destruction of all within our gaze.

We glorify ourselves above all the Gods, because Gods are the only thing between us and all that we crave — that we deserve!!!

We are horrified to witness the sublime beauty of nature, it’s infinite powers of creation and destruction and creativity. We feel small and inconsequential by comparison to even the smallest niche of nature.

Our egos demand we right this terrible imbalance. We must destroy nature.

We must destroy it’s beauty and majesty so that we are the object of worship.

We are Gods.

We can do this.
