It’s okay to speak about “angry white males” even when there is no evidence to support this racist accusation. It’s an archetype we’re accustomed to.
It’s politically correct, even.

It’s not okay to suggest an “angry black male” stereotype, despite abundant supporting evidence. Witness Obama’s inauguration speech yesterday.
Not one soft word in the lot. Not one “I feel your pain” moment. Lots of seething hatred for; well, for the “angry white males” of the GOP who are responsible for all of Obama’s angst.
Black males have quite a lot to be angry about. 85% of black children are born to single black mothers. Clearly, black men are not responsible fathers or husbands.
There are more black men in jail than in college. Clearly, black men are stupid and criminally inclined. The prefer the company of other black men to the company of their own families.
The average educational level of black graduates from high school is, relative to the nation as a whole, the 8th grade. Clearly, this does not bother the “angry black males” out there.
95% of black children will depend on food stamps at some point as they grow up. Clearly, black fathers aren’t doing their part to support their own flesh and blood.
Black men aren’t angry about all this, really. Mostly they are angry at the statistics. They can’t hide behind the allegation of discrimination or racism. It’s all their own fault, and the numbers prove that.
Obama is the angriest of all black men. He takes great pride in his anger. Black men adore him when he vents like he did yesterday in his inauguration speech.
Obama is their hero, their “Lord and savior.”
Their role model.
