They actually have a pretty luxurious set up down there. One of the best parts of the film was exploring the community, watching the weather, and noticing the drastic measures needed to get around when the wind kicks up in a storm.
I wish they had shown some of the local wild life — birds, penguins, foxes. I was surprised nobody on the station had pets, either. A good Rx against cabin fever, and greed!!!
Too bad Kate Beckinsale was bundled up in Arctic furs all the time. Too bad none of the guys at the station made a romantic move on her. Even after six months in solitude with her?
