Young people new to politics find it baffling how the conservatives have drawn a line in the sand over tax cuts for the wealthy. How can anybody possibly justify a stand like that? It’s political suicide! Suicide by the silver spoon.
I think conservatives have just had enough. Democrats operate just like Iran and the nuclear standoff. They dangle a carrot of diplomacy in front of you, entice you into a few more months of leniency, knowing damn well that the bleeding heart West will cave in to irrational exuberance and give them what they want.
For decades now, Republican administrations have fought the fiscal battle. They reign in the money supply, cut the fat out of government programs and balance the budget. Then the Democrats come into power and go hog wild with their pork, using welfare and thousands of other programs to buy whole voting blocks.
The economy tanks, the Republicans get elected again, and they bring fiscal discipline back to Washington. As soon as everything is running smoothly, the Dems hack their way back into power. The last four years have been the most extreme ever, with untoward expansions of the money supply and the power of the Federal Reserve along with a $1 trillion expansion in welfare.
The Obama administration gave away 20 million cell phones to welfare recipients, along with continuing to pay their cell phone bills. How’d you like Uncle Sam to pay your $200 cell bill every month – 4G coverage – web browsing – texting – the works? That bought a couple million black and minority votes on election day.
The Obama administration has several programs to reach out to illegal immigrants to be sure they get food stamps and unemployment benefits. The Justice Department blocked efforts by many states to keep illegals from voting, saying voter ID laws will keep poor and disadvantaged people from voting.
The fiscal impasse isn’t as much about raising taxes on the wealthy as it is about Democrat’s fiscal malfeasance. They’ve stolen $2.5 trillion from the Social Security Trust Fund over the years to pay for their welfare and other programs.
They stole from all working Americans so they could use the money to buy votes from blacks and minorities, making them dependent on the government dole for entire generations.
We can’t go into any more debt. Our back is against the wall. We have an annual $1 trillion deficit. Not one Obama budget for the last four years has gotten a single vote in either house of Congress. We’ve been running on continuing resolutions for four years. Fumes!
Just today, Obama implored conservatives to pass a middle class tax cut. That will cost $100 billion a year. Where’s the money going to come from? We haven’t even funded Obamacare yet. It alone will add $100 billion a year to the deficit, if not more.
Obama, as usual, is using this impasse and his superior rhetoric to make everybody think the GOP is so stingy they won’t even give a tax cut to the precious middle class.
Nobody cares that all that money has to be borrowed or that it’s the same middle class who will pay for it in lower wages, inflation and a lower standard of living when our debt is downgraded.
Nobody cares that it’s the middle class who will ultimately pay for the middle class tax break anyway, with higher taxes on their children and grandchildren for generations to come.
Obama certainly doesn’t care. All he wants is money to buy votes and issues to distort so he his Chicago gangster cronies can drive even more voters to the Democrat brand.
It’s a game of fiscal chicken. Once we hit the wall and the budget is a must pass as required by our debtors, all of Obama’s supporters will lose a big chunk of their benefits, and the Democrats will lose their entire base.
Americans will lose even more value from their homes and stock portfolios. Obama doesn’t care about anybody with a positive net worth. He just wants to take our money to give to his constituency.
